Dual-Core Online Tester D6
The SRC D6-type ICT is our company's dual-core ICT product, developed based on the SRC6001 ICT platform.
D6 hardware-wise employs a set of pneumatic clamps, along with a cabinet and a control panel rack, which houses two sets of signal boards and channel boards.
On the PC software, multi-threading technology is employed to simultaneously test two sets of circuit boards at the same time, significantly boosting the inspection speed.
Theoretical detection speed improved by 100%.
In practice, due to the time operators spend picking up and placing the boards, the actual increase in production efficiency can’t reach 100%—it’s limited to around 40%.
The detection time for a dual-panel circuit board, with each panel worth 200 points, is 4 seconds, while the pick-and-place time for the boards is 3 seconds—let’s calculate accordingly.
Originally, the total detection time was 4 + 3 = 7 seconds. After adopting the dual-core architecture, the total detection time dropped to 2 + 3 = 5 seconds. This resulted in a 40% efficiency improvement, calculated as (7/5 - 1) × 100%.
As the above calculations show, the larger and more complex the circuit board, the longer the single-board testing time—and this is precisely why adopting a dual-core architecture becomes increasingly advantageous.
Here are the features of the D6 (other features are identical to those of the SRC6001):
1. It can simultaneously test two identical boards or two different boards at the same time.
2. When there’s no need to simultaneously inspect two sets of boards, it can also be used as a single system (the channel boards can be combined for use).
3. Can be expanded to a 4-core system.
