Can our PCB optical inspection equipment measure multiple items at once?
In SMT production, multiple components are generally undetectable—can our AOI system handle this? Detecting multiple components is a significant challenge in AOI inspection, primarily due to the "uncertainty of placement." In other words, "foreign objects" could potentially appear anywhere across the entire circuit board. If these extra components only occur on component pads—specifically, if a part has been placed where it shouldn’t be—it’s relatively easy to identify. However, when customers refer to "multiple-component detection," they usually mean cases where "foreign objects" appear at **any random location** on the board. While Xinghe’s AOI system is capable of detecting such instances, there are still some practical limitations when it comes to real-world applications.
