II. Equipment Function Description
This device is primarily designed for online inspection of PCB areas coated with conformal coating, typically detecting defects such as missed coating, over-application, and paint splatter on protective components. It can be positioned either before the curing oven (at the wet-film station) or after (at the dry-film station), enabling simultaneous testing of both sides. The system relies on the unique color characteristics that conformal coatings exhibit under UV light for visual analysis. Key inspection items include:
Detecting multiple sprays, paint splatters, and missed spots—see the image below.

The operation process is as follows: The product to be tested flows into the inspection equipment, moves to a designated position, and the system activates the CCD camera to capture an image. A specialized image analysis software platform—known as the GOI platform—then performs intelligent analysis of the image, replacing manual visual inspection. Finally, the system sorts the parts into GOOD and NG categories before dispensing them for output.
The entire detection process is automated, rapid, intelligent, and standardized, ensuring consistent quality while enabling fast, standardized testing across the board.
Since the entire inspection process is fully automated, one person can manage multiple devices, boosting efficiency while significantly reducing labor costs.
